With Mario Klingemann, Manfred Mohr, Casey Reas, Anna Ridler and Tamiko Thiel.
We welcome you to our 6th edition of our annual group show SUMMER SPLASH.
Two longterm artists of the gallery, Manfred Mohr and Casey Reas, are represented with new works. Casey Reas presents his latest plotter drawings of the RGB-series, and three works of Manfred Mohr’s recent series titled ‘algorithmic modulations’ from 2019 will be on display. Mario Klingemann surprises with an abstract GAN-work from 2020. Just like Mario Klingemann, Anna Ridler participates in her second group show at DAM, this time showing a selection of a total of 200 ink drawings that set the foundation for her 2017 GAN-animation ‘Fall of the House of Usher II’. Ridler references the eponymous silent film from 1929. Furthermore, we would like to introduce to you a new series by Tamiko Thiel, which we could reclaim as an artist of the gallery. In 2009, we presented her work ‘ReVisioning the Virtual Wall’ at our old location on Tucholskystraße. For this exhibition, we present a selection of her new series of fine art prints called ‘Touching,Traces’ from 2020, which visualises our physical relationship with our tablets.
