KEN KNOWLTON

Ken Knowlton, geboren 1931 in Springville, New York ist ein Pionier der Computergrafik. Er war Teil des wegweisenden Teams bei Bell Labs in den 1960er Jahren. Knowlton war Informatiker und schrieb eine der ersten spezialisierten Sprachen für Computer-Animation, BEFLIX  (hergeleitet von Bell Flicks). Er arbeitete mit einer Vielzahl von Künstlern zusammen, darunter Stan Vanderbeek und Lillian Schwartz. Vanderbeek und Knowlton arbeiteten zusammen an einer Vielzahl von Filmen, darunter Poem Fields.
