Mario Klingemann, Liquid Clown Compression

DAM has been selling software art, GIF files, animations and similar digital formats for over 20 years, but with an analog certificate. NFTs, with their digital certificate, allow for direct marketing by the artists. In the future, DAM will regularly present NFTs that we find interesting. If you are interested, you will be redirected to the artist’s page and can purchase the artwork directly.
We are not involved in the sale, but see this as an action to support the artist.

Liquid Clown Compression
4K video loop
2160×3840 px, duration 40 seconds
Edition of 1

How many clowns do fit into a neural network? This video loop is the result of trying to compress artificially generated clowns into a tiny AI model that lacks the capacity to contain them all. As a result the orbit through the model’s latent space results in a liquid hyper-colored plasma cloud.
