CORNELIA SOLLFRANK – NET.ART GENERATOR
VERLAG FÜR MODERNE KUNST NÜRNBERG, 2004
Since the mid 90s, the hacker, cyberfeminist, conceptual, and net.artist, Cornelia Sollfrank has been investigating world-wide communication networks and transferring subversive artistic strategies of the classical Avantgarde into the digital medium.
This publication focuses on her net.art generators, computer programs which re-combine and collage material from the Net. With their help, the artist tests new models of authorship, continues the historical artistic practice of appropriation, and deconstructs myths surrounding originality and geniality.
